SNIPER Underwater Viewing Scope

DESCRIPTION

The SNIPER Underwater Viewing Scope is the first of its kind, hand dredge mountable, 2" diameter underwater viewing scope. The primary intent of this device is to be mounted on a hand dredge to assist the gold prospector while hand dredging rock crevices and working the surface of gravels of streams. The SNIPER can be mounted or repositioned at any linear portion of the hand dredge body, at any radial point on the body, and may be rotated on the mounting axis for optimum three dimentional positioning for use. This viewer is provided for the FissureMan line of hand dredges however it can easily be attached to any competing manufacturers 1.5" or 2" ID hand dredge body depending on the supplied mounting clamp configuration chosen.

FEATURES

This underwater viewing scope design incorporates the standard, time tested features of a black internal wall surface to reduce internal reflected light while improving viewing ability and vent openings on the lens protector to allow air to escape from the front surface of the viewing lens during use.
The vents on this new device are different, they are not simple round holes but rather long slots that are much more efficient at allowing water with all the air bubbles on the acrylic lens surface to more rapidly pass through providing an immediate and perfect unobstructed view. The 2" diameter viewing area allows the user to observe the area of suction collection, hands free, while working that location.

USES

This new viewer is designed to attach on a hand dredge and allow easier sighting of crevices or material for hand dredging in shallow underwater conditions during use. There are other applications that go hand-in-hand with this device. The SNIPER may be detached and then be used separately for hunting relics, fossils, shark teeth, gemstones, viewing wildlife in underwater habitats or just plain looking around at the underwater sites. Powered dredge operators will find this device useful for observing their partner's activity underwater from the surface during a dredging operation without the need to use a mask and snorkel.

SUMMARY

The SNIPER comes standard in a working length of 16". A choice of a 1.5" or 2" clamp configuration is provided at purchase.

The surface finish is gloss Black and White with the upper rim edge trimmed in a protective black rubber coating for comfortable face contact should you need to get in as close as possible to view your target of interest. The assembled weight of this device is a light 14 ounces (or less) depending on mounting clamp size.

When mounted, this underwater viewing scope is a great accessory compliment to the various FissureMan Hand Dredges during prospecting of possible underwater gold holding structures. The provided length can be supplied shortened or extended or even be custom painted to match any of the current FissureMan II, GOLD-N-ROD or BLUEDOG Hand Dredge colors for a nominal additional cost.
